Leileat is not a medical device. The app provides
indicative estimates based on algorithms and public databases. It does
not in any way replace the advice of a doctor, nutritionist, dietitian,
or other qualified healthcare professional. Leileat is not classified
as a medical device within the meaning of EU Regulation 2017/745 (MDR)
or of the Swiss Medical Devices Ordinance (MepV, RS 812.213).
1. Nature of the information
Leileat helps you keep a food diary and estimate nutritional intake.
All values (calories, macronutrients, micronutrients) are
indicative estimates based on:
- Public databases (USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts);
- Image recognition via artificial intelligence (typical margin of
error ±15-25%);
- Manual user entries.
2. Usage limitations
The app must not be used to:
- Diagnose diseases or nutritional disorders;
- Prescribe or plan diets in case of diagnosed conditions
(diabetes, metabolic diseases, kidney failure, etc.);
- Replace clinical monitoring in people with eating disorders
(anorexia, bulimia, BED, orthorexia);
- Make dietary decisions during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or
developmental age without the supervision of a professional.
3. Underage users
The app is intended for adults (17+ App Store, 13+ Google Play with
parental consent). Minors must not use calorie-tracking features
without the supervision of a parent and a healthcare professional.
4. Eating disorders (ED)
Calorie tracking, weight monitoring, and gamification features may
be a risk factor for people with active, in-remission, or developing
eating disorders.

5. AI recognition accuracy
Dish recognition from photos uses multimodal artificial intelligence
models (powered by OpenAI). Accuracy varies depending on image quality,
lighting, dish complexity, and culinary culture. Always check
the suggested values and correct portion sizes when needed.
6. Leileat nutritional index
The A-to-E quality index shown next to foods is an internal heuristic
estimate based on caloric density and macro/micro composition.
It is not the official Nutri-Score (FSA-NPS system
approved by the European Commission) and has no medical or scientific
value.
