Leileat Cookie Policy

Last updated: 23 April 2026 · Version 1.1

Summary: The Leileat mobile app does not use HTTP cookies in the traditional web sense. It instead uses technical identifiers and, only with your prior consent, advertising identifiers. The leileat.com website uses exclusively technical cookies necessary for operation.

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy supplements the Privacy Policy and describes specifically the use of cookies, SDKs, and tracking technologies by the Leileat mobile application and the leileat.com website.

2. What "cookies" and mobile identifiers are

In the web context, cookies are small text files that a website stores in the user's browser. In the mobile context, analogous mechanisms are implemented through identifiers assigned by the SDK or the operating system, such as:

3. Types used in the Leileat app

3.1 Technical (always active, do not require consent)

NameProviderPurposeDuration
Firebase Auth Token Google Maintain the user's login session 1 hour (automatic renewal)
Firebase Installation ID Google Pseudonymous installation identifier, necessary for the operation of Firebase services Until app uninstallation
RevenueCat App User ID RevenueCat Associate the Premium subscription with the device Until uninstallation
SharedPreferences / UserDefaults Leileat app Save local preferences (theme, language, onboarding flag) Until uninstallation

Legal basis: legitimate interest / contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3.2 Diagnostics and aggregated statistics (require consent in the European Union)

NameProviderPurposeDuration
Firebase Analytics Google Aggregated usage statistics (screens viewed, events, subscription conversion) 14 months
Firebase Crashlytics Google Crash reports and diagnostic logs 90 days

Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) in the EU; legitimate interest outside the EU.

3.3 Advertising — ONLY in the free version, if and when activated

NameProviderPurposeDuration
Google AdMob Google Ad selection and display, impression counting Up to 13 months
IDFA (iOS) Apple / Google Ad personalisation — only with ATT consent Until identifier reset
GAID (Android) Google Ad personalisation — only with UMP consent Until identifier reset

Legal basis: explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Important: in compliance with the GDPR and Apple's policies, by default only non-personalised ads are shown. Personalised ads are activated exclusively if the user provides specific consent via the in-app consent banner (Google UMP) and grants tracking via the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS.

4. Cookies on the leileat.com website

The website uses exclusively first-party technical cookies necessary for operation (e.g. session, language preferences). No profiling or marketing cookies are installed without your consent.

5. How to manage consent

5.1 In the app

5.2 System-level advertising identifiers

6. Withdrawal of consent

At any time you can withdraw the consent given for non-technical cookies/SDKs, without any prejudice to the use of the Service (the Free version will remain fully functional without personalised ads).

7. Changes to the Cookie Policy

We update this Policy in case of regulatory changes or the introduction of new technologies. The updated version will be published on this page with the relevant date.
